School History

Founded in 1954, the "Hong Kong Red Cross Hospital Schools" is an aided special school under the Hong Kong Red Cross. The Incorporated Management Committee of the school was set up on 31 August, 2010. At present, there are 26 school units attached to 19 hospitals throughout Hong Kong.

1984 The School positioned herself in the development of education upon the completion of the Combined Code of Aid Policy for Special Schools
1981 Participated in setting up the Hong Kong Special Schools Council
1979 Organized the first Joint Speech Day of the Hong Kong Red Cross Schools
1977 Queen Mary Hospital Red Cross School pioneered in teaching students with psychiatric needs
1976 The Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital Red Cross School started the secondary school section
1967 Became an aided special school
