School Mission

Based on the Red Cross Principle of Humanity, we care for students with physical handicap and sickness by providing them with holistic education and fostering the value of respect for life. We aim to help them overcome difficulties, develop their potentials, enhance a sense of dignity, build self-confidence, and integrate into the community, thus enabling them to attain a fruitful life and make contributions to society.

Objectives

  1. Provide education for the hospitalized children when they are well enough to study, so that they will encounter less difficulty in resuming schooling upon discharge.
  2. Offer an attractive, interesting and stimulating environment to the hospitalized children so as to motivate them to learn and experience the pleasure of individual and group learning.
  3. Unleash the potentials in cognitive, social and psychological skills of the hospitalized children.
  4. Foster the hospitalized children to possess positive self-images, creativity, responsibility and thoughtfulness.
  5. Help the hospitalized children gain meaningful experiences.
  6. Provide opportunities for the hospitalized children to experience, explore and learn to be more independent.

Aim

  1. Provide continuing education programs and adapted curriculum to meet the learning needs of individual students.
  2. Provide holistic care for hospitalized children by integrating educational and therapeutic services through cooperation with multi-disciplinary professionals.
  3. Create a secure and relaxing atmosphere to relieve or eliminate the anxiety of the hospitalized children.
  4. Provide learning opportunities to bridge the curriculum of the students’ original schools.
  5. Help students to adapt to hospitalization.
  6. Build the reputation of the school in the society.
