"Red Cross Humanitarian Learning Kit"

Supplementary to the Life and Society Curriculum Guide (Secondary 1-3), "Social Systems and Citizenship _Global Citizenship and Humanitarian Work” (module 29), twelve humanity related lessons are designed. The curriculum is based on three perspectives, including “What is humanity?", " Why do we practice humanity?" and " How to practice humanity?". It is designed for students to explore, understand, reflect and practice humanity. The learning kit has begun with the discussion of the humanitarian work done by the Red Cross which leads students to reflect on the reasons for becoming a “global citizen”, how they can contribute to support the actions in saving lives, and how to prevent human from suffering. Students will realize that humanitarian issues could be so close to them, and they can put the spirit of “Protect human life” “Care for the health of vulnerable” and “Respect human dignity” into practice.
